Default 944 V8 video...new exhaust!

Just finished building a new exhaust for the beast. It's a dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminumized steel system that runs all the way out, through a home-made x-pipe, to two flowmaster 50 series delta flow mufflers...sounds alright huh?

yeah, i ran it side by side all the way to the front of the transmission, then i ran out of room to go side by side, so i ran over under, it's worked nicely so far!\

at first i was a little worried about the look of it, but it's really starting to grow on me

Not a fan, looks ghetto and you'll pull off the lower exhaust can. Why not merge both into a collector and do a single 3" out the back?

Ethan maybe have the two 3' s connect into a y pipe that runs into a 4" or 5" muffler?

Sounds great btw. How does it drive since the change?

I have a feeling it looks better in person.

the old exhaust was actually lower than this one by about 3/4 of an inch, and it made it a whole year of driving over really crappy driveways without ripping it off

i've considered buying a magnaflow dual in dual out 3 inch muffler, but it would be very difficult because of space restriction to build both pipes right next to each other over the axle, which is exactly why i didn't build it like that.

It's driving pretty nicely, definitely has some power in it...i'm considering putting in a pair of thrush glasspacks in where the old cat was to bring the volume and resonance down a bit.

i wouldn't say that it looks ghetto in person, just very unique, i did the install as cleanly as i could, and it looks a lot lower than it really is because the rear wheels are sitting in a ditch...here are some pictures from when i first finished it.

if u could shift one of the mufflers sideways or use offset outlet mufflers, u could get some offset action like lexus ISF

haha, i've thought about something like that...i'll probably eventually put a fuel safe tank in the back and remove the old gas tank, then run one pipe over to the opposite side, probably do a single in dual out muffler on each side, flipped 90 degrees and tucked up, maybe with one pipe exiting through a cutout in the bottom of the bumper, that will look a lot like that lexus, or a TVR
