OT: 15 inch phone dials for free in NC.
Before I post this to the classifieds I thought I would give the board members a chance to nab 4 early off set phone dial rims for free, ok maybe I'd like to sit down for a beer and talk about porsches, but that would pretty much cover the costs.
They are early offset 15 inch rims, I don't know much about them, other than I got them when I traded my seats for sways bar. They are not perfect and have no center caps.
I'll try and get some pics tonight.

I'm in Winston Salem NC, it would be a bit out of the way, but of course that is up to you.
If you want to use map quest you can use Winston-Salem NC 27106 to get a better idea of where I am.

I recently discovered that my 1986 944 has late offset rims! I would love to pick up a set of early offsets, and I don't care about condition. I can take the time to refinish them. My problem is geography. I don't have the time to make a road trip from Maryland. Any chance you would ship them if I covered the costs?
If not, does anybody else out there have a set of early offset phone dials they would part with?
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
The Problem is shipping of wheels is not cheap, and I don't want to waste anyones time and money by shipping them. If you wanted to really pay the shipping costs that would be fine, just be aware that it is not cheap.
Judd,
Let me know what you guys decide.

I will convince the guys the deviation of time will be less than an hour(or so Yahoo maps predicts) one of us will have a pick up truck so there will be room, unless the bed is filled with girls comming home with us!

If it doesn't workout with whomever saw this message before me, drop me an e-mail and your wheels will be gone within 2 business days. I guarantee it! over1g@hotmail.com

Ian,
If someone wants to pick them up in Winston, I think that is obviously the best deal. However, in the absence of that happening, I'd be willing to pay the shipping and any packing expenses if you didn't mind doing the packing. I'd love to replace my late offset wheels with a proper set of wheels for my '86 944. Were I to buy from someone else I would probably be looking at spending a couple hundred dollars PLUS shipping! Money is a little tight since I may be unemployed as of May, so I can't really justify spending that much $$$. But I could swing the shipping charges.
Anyway, it sounds like Judd is good to go, but if nobody ends up picking them up soon, please keep me in mind as a possiblity. Maybe Judd will get lucky with the women and I'll get lucky with the wheels!

Hey Judd will you email me when you know if it is a go? ian.klass@coastaldiscount.com
Because you spoke first they are yours if you can do it, but other wise I'm call Ahmet and having him pick them up.
Also you are not the only one who would love to see me car, I have had to put into storage for a while in charlotte, timing belt / wastegate issues and I have not driven her in 3 moths. Very sad.
