Default Today's increment: rear wing uprights simulated

Small incremental progress on mounting the rear wing. I suspended it, in the proper position, so that the wing is gonna be far enough back so the hatch opens. pics at:

I decided to have a steel assembly fabricated that will sit on the frame and bolt to the wing mount through drilled out license plate mounting holes. The load will go through the assembly onto both the frame where the bumper is mounted and the hoop that the rear hatch latches onto. That was clear, eh?

Next is to mock up that assembly in foam, take some pix, and find a good welder in the neighborhood...
