WOW, that is a BIG off set but with only 25 drivers that is a LOT of track time!

Skip - the run groups ran great, no issues and I had plenty of open track. I just have to fig. out how to slow down Sammy now.
No worries mate. I wanted to return the favor for you posting a pic of me in Jen's car.

Skip - I had a great time and I saw zero issues on the track. Oh - Jen had a great time, and on the way home asked when the next track event will be. Is that hot, or what?

Well, Maybe next year I will have to jump in on the novice group..

BTW Skip, Your car looked AWESOME, even if the only time I saw it was sitting in the tech shed!

Glad to hear that Jen is hooked and that she had a good time. Also glad you were able to get your coolant line fixed. For those of you who don't know - Scott split the coolant line that goes to the heater valve while on track. We were able to scavenge one from Wellborn's trailer (white S2 with the big wing), and Scott replaced it in record time and still had most of the skin left on his knuckles.

Thanks. That is the bad part of running a DE - not much time to drive yourself. Did get out on Sat and Sun some - car ran good, although the driver was pretty rusty. First time out on the JIC/Cross suspension - like it a lot better than the Escort Cups.

Ed Baus - goes by 911.racer on rennlist. Very well set up for NASA GTS1 with a set of Penske struts/shocks, aero, etc. Turns low sub 1:45's on the club course at Mid-Ohio. Not to bad for a car with 145 hp.

Thanks Jon! For playing nice and the compliment. I think doing autocross and rallycross helped put me a little ahead of the curve.

And thanks to Skip for letting us play, and to Rick Stephenson for giving me great instruction.

Oh yeah, and thanks to my tame Porsche mechanic for getting the car ready for the track, and fixing that hose so quickly (of course, he broke it quickly too....). Andy gave us some valuable help getting things back together the way they are supposed to be.

I guess I'll be a track junkie soon

Jen

Guys,

You put on an awesome event. As a past 924 and 944 owner I really enjoy these cars. I was there with the "bad a$$" supercharged 928 that has a picture early in the thread.

I hope to see you all there again next year. I hope you won't mind a gratuitous underhood pic.

Ken

That car was great!! Next year park it over by the 944Fest tent so we don't have to walk so far to stare at it.

I can't count the times people said "Hey, did you see that supercharged 928 over there? That thing is bad ***."
It was amazing that they all said the same exact thing. If we had an award for "conciseness response," you would have got it.

Ken - it was great to meet you. That is by far the coolest 928 I have seen. The pics don't do it justice - to get the full effect you have to hear it at pit out going onto the track.
