Did your 944 ever hurt you ?

Today I was doing a simple oil change and hurt my shoulder trying to loosen the drain plug, this is first time and hopefully the last time I hurt myself working on my car.

I try to make a small blood sacrifice to my car every time I work on it...okay well maybe I dont try...but I do succeed.

Working on the rear hatch on my 951 I put a 1/2 inch DEEP gash in my hand and nicked a nerve..

A year later and it is all healed up (except for SOME of the feeling in my index finger never came back), but I do have a nice scar from it.. come to the fest and I will be more than happy to show it!

I have scars and stories with each...

Sad part was I put 2 butterflies on the cut, a couple of band-aids, wrapped it with tape and went back to work!

Yeah, I've had alot of cuts on my hands from working on the old 944. My worst injury was knocking myself in the tooth with an open ended wrench when it slipped off of a bolt on the underside. The most recent were small burns all over my hand because I didn't want to wait long enough for the car to cool down before cleaning the main engine ground.

Everytime I have to do anything under the dash. It's the most uncomfortable position ever!

Well aside from the yards of lost knuckle skin over the years, my car just gave me a nice burned finger today while bleeding the coolant for the 7th time this week.

oh man...nailed myself with a soldering iron working on the wiring harness the other week, it's just starting to heal up and turn from a scab into a scar.

My philosophy is if i don't hurt like hell all over the place when i get done, i haven't been working hard enough or long enough...or i was really effing lucky
