20ft? did you have your foot off the brake? I would expect it to be buckled over the wheelwells from that kind of force.

if the picture is an indication of the damage you could fix that for like $300..

ouch - looks like the euro rear bumper may be toast. Hope that that can be repaired because those aren't easy to come by

That sucks indeed. That euro bumper is probably the reason you have $2K worth of damage from a light hit. The US bumpers might be ugly but they can take a pretty hard bump at a drive-thru unscathed. Our 944S got hit stopped at a light and it tossed the car over 10 feet...new end caps and shocks and we were back in business. Good thing they had insurance.

This is why Porsche didn't make cup holders... to keep you out of the drive thru. When will you learn?

Cup holders?! That is what the wife is for...j/k. No food/drink allowed in my car anyways. Besides, drive through's are designed for SUV's If I pulled up, they wouldn't see my car because it is so low lol!

Seriously though. Sorry to hear about betting bumrushed!

On the other hand, if this was an XKE forum, the cup holder would be your mechanic sitting in the passenger seat (that is why they were two seaters you know) lol.

At least you were able to get to the idiot who hit you. Had a similar hit, but the ******* never stopped. But he wasn't waiting for a happy meal. I got hit trying to turn right on red.
Totally fixable.

They hold up better than the rest of the car, in my experience.

Ouch. These threads make me paranoid -- not about my Euro bumper, but about ever driving my car!

To the OP, I suspect that my previous car had had a bump or two like that. With any luck, the shop will have it better than new soon enough!
