I dont think your going to benefit from smaller tires/wheels

I put smaller tyres on the back (winter configuration) to test out some issues

so 205's all around and traction wasnt that great.

hence why I'm asking why you are trying to put a "smaller" combination on,
I dont think your going to gain anything, probably loose more

it matters becuase, the OP has asked a question.

so in order to give an answer you must know all the facts.

Sometimes people ask questions which can be stupid or unsafe. So be prepared to except an answer on that.

I'm not saying that this question is a stupid or unsafe....

I asked (as already stated before) because

1> I own'd/drove as S2 for 10 years
2> I ran the local Porsche Chapter
3> Been around these and other forums quite a while

so I aint no newbie when it comes to Porsches.

Its a reasonable question asked by the OP and LIKEWISE its a reasonable question I asked back of the OP

I'm sure, he's big enough to be able to answer a question on this board that he has raised, without any wet nursing

I am sensitive to the OP because you would not believe the shyt i got from the M3 nutswingers when I asked the same question so i could run the 16" Rs i have from the S2/951S on the M3 the came with 17s.
I got lecture upon lecture about the obvious - more sidewall, less cooling, blah blah blah and nobody addressed which wheels would fit.

So then 15" phonies will cover S2 brakes front AND back?

Didn't test it, didn't buy it. Maybe this weekend.

I had a GREAT track event with my 944 (Thursday Friday) and it's bad kharma to expect your car to serve you well while you're secretly plotting to sell it!

Define "ruin."

Basically, I want all the balance and handling of my 944 na, with the classic lines and Porsche label. But without having to stick my arm out to give point-by's 15 times per session! I want to GET more point-by's!
