Post what is the general opinion on these rockers (pics)

i got them off ebay for pretty cheap. im planning on painting them this weekend.
I think they give the car a awesome look. It jsut looks more aggresive to me. I think i'll have to start looking for a rear valance now to match the look on the back. but oh well.

nothing like some spring cleaning. I removed the seats and took all the carpet out to be shampooed. It looks and smells so much nicer in my car now.

Brett,

I was never a fan of rockers. I think your car looks sweet as it is. However, if you do paint and put them on, please, please do NOT put that rear wing on.

Ha ha--simultaneous posts, I guess.

I've seen those rockers on a car before, but not in person. I wouldn't spend my money on them (because I'm broke!) but if I had bought a car with them on I wouldn't take them off. They don't look bad and gives the car a slightly-different-from-stock look.

you should leave the other rocker there, it makes a good looking wing. just do like a vette owner i worked with did: use 4" wood screw to hold it to the deck lid...

When will people realize that not everything done is rice? Not liking it is one thing, but calling everything you don't like rice is just plain dumb. Too many people have the "if it didn't come from Stuttgart..." attitude about these cars. To each his own I guess....

I think it looks good. I don't think those could ever be mistaken for ricey. They have GOT to be painted though. Haven't rockers for the 944 been around for awhile?

Not a fan.

I think the "pushed in sides" look that the 944 has is lost with rockers like that. It takes away from the fact that the wheel flares stick out and make the middle of the car look thinner, which I think is one of the 944's greatest features.

Personally, I agree with Danger; the coke-bottle look is a bit lost. But I don't think they are "rice," and I hope you're happy with the results no matter what anyone says!

BTW, I think you should get some spacers for your rear wheels...fill out those fenderwells a bit.

Love em' - my dad is a huge fan of this mod. He said the car would look 100% better with them. He is even willing to pay for them if I put them on my car.

If you don't mind me asking.....

How much???

I'm almost 100% sure some sort of rockers (might have well been just like those) were available as a dealer option for 944s... browsed through an old catalog once and it had all kinds of neat stuff in it that were available in the 80's.

IMHO they don't look half bad, and it's definately not some "shogun" style over-the-top mod.

Cool

They should look OK when painted.
