...prob would help to put something else into the picture for frame of reference. the way it looks now, i'd think it was a M14 or M16 nut...with a wierd lip. i've never seen one like that on my car.

Is it brass or just the lighting? It looks like it would be used for a plumbing connection. The only thing I can think of is some cars have a before-the-cat emissions check tube that tees into the header pipe near the O2 sensor.

i was gunna be a smartass and say "on a bolt" but yea. Just look over all of your bolts and see if you forgot to put a nut on them. Theres so many things that nut could go too...

it looks too damn clean to come off of a 944...and i've never seen anything like it on mine. Do you think it was just a random nut that got tossed in with the hardware from your car? i've had that happen before and it can definitely throw you off...

sorry i couldn't be more helpful!

Top of the McPherson strut? Maybe it was dropped down onto the headers a long time ago and it just sat there until now?

Hey kem,

What are you doing now. If you do not get an answer, contact jason, he will tell you. 516 605 0858

How did school go. My car is done and I am in the metro post this month. Check it out.

I am a grandfather now as of 6/3 to Alana.

The shop is having a grand opening on 6/27 at exit 47, Sunnyside Blvd exit off the LIE. See if you can make it.

It looks like the body of some kind of sensor...

Seriously though, I don't think it's from your car.

That's the bolt on top of the strut. Someone probley changed out the struts sometime, and used the original bolts, and dropped that one.

the nuts on the struts aren't even that big... i would think possible from the wheel spindle... theres nothing else with nuts that big on the front half of the car.

i would say pop the dust covers off the hubs and check to make sure the nut is still holding your wheel bearings in place... but you would already know if it wasnt.
