Default Exhaust manifold removal?

I need to pull out the cylinder 1 and 4 manifold. Do I have to remove both manifolds to do this? Clark's says that the studs have to come out and the water line return has to be disconnected. Will this hold true for the removal of just the 1 manifold? I have a nasty crack that needs to be welded.

studs dont have to come out and neither does the water line...probably be easier to remove both headers at once though

1-4 should disconnect pretty easily. it's usually 2-3 have clearance issues with the strut tower.

Should I go ahead and pull the studs and put in new ones? I figured I'll at least go with new gaskets and lock nuts.

I was able to pull mine with no problem. I had the same crack in mine... replaced them with the msds headers instead of fixing the crack though. They slid right in as well.
