car is being repaired now. by me and my dad, im getting a new hood (last night brother went crazy and dented the **** out of mine), repainting the front clip, selling it, buying a nissan 240sx, and making a rice rocket even though i hate them, i still have a 911.
i was going to sell it and get a 944 T but this is to much work for me to put into a car, ill be fulltime college soon so yeah, im getting a 240sx and putting a SR20DET turbo engine into it, and coilovers all around, so it might have good handling.

the timing belt failing so often is the sign of a more significant problem. was the tensioning tool used previously in the change, or was it a by hand job so to speak? when were the rollars last replaced? any of the seals fail in the area? what condition are the other belts?

the famous "hella expencive tool" was used, and all rollers were changed, along with belts, along with waterpump last time the belt went.in april. and the seals.

Are you sure the rollers are on correctly? I had the same problem, killing 3 sets of valves in 3 miles of driving. The roller on the tensioner was installed backwards from the factory. This made the belt track weird, and eventually would twist enough to sheer off the teeth. Did you check the crank gear? If that is worn, it can cause the same thing.
I feel your pain. Hang with 'em.

tomorrow we are taking this thing apart, one thing is, the engine turns over perfectly fine, just the cam isnt turning, it sounds like i have compression and everything is normal, just no valveage. Could i have performed a miracle, and thrown the belt without causing any damage?

thanks for the good wishes. Hopefully the experience of turbo and whatnot from the 240 will get me a headstart on the 951 i plan on having in 3 years. (halfway to my MBA)

I've got a friend that did that exact thing. Let me know if you'd like to get in touch with him for ideas.
