Post Totally pointless OT thread

Just thought I'd post this, you know, in case anybody was interested. Just in case.

Porsches are nice, aren't they? No argument there.

Anyway, I have to go to bed pretty soon. OK?

Thanks for reading.

One of the guys on an astronomy NG posted his gripes about amateur astronomy as a hobby... hot, humid nights with mosquitos, cold nights with unseen animals making scary noises, missed sleep, etc.

The best response he got was something like "Astronomy's a tough sport. Wear a cup."

And yeah, I like Porsches, too.

The 924/44/68 can haul a complete C-8 SCT outfit in the hatch.. don't even have to fold the seat down. The 10" SN I've got on order (since mid-freakin'-April!) will fit, but the seat'll have to be down.

Jim, still gotta get a cup...

Mine will haul a bicycle and all of it's associated gear in the back with the token rear seats folded down, and a girl in the passenger seat to hand off H20 bottles dring the race.....And look stylish in the process. What more can you ask for??

Tifo

Oh, and you can keep my 30 seconds. I have plenty more...

The kid in me wants to jack the wheel over when I'm driving in rush hour taffic and drive into on-coming traffic just to see what happens.

But the adult in me is still in control. At least for now.

Oh ya...gotta love Porsches. Any of you guys put the rear seats down just for fun? LOL

At U of Michigan a couple years ago a student overslept and was late to his final and got there with 30 min to go. The student asked if he could still take the test, the teacher said yes but that the student had to finish the test in rest of the time alloted. Thirty min went by everyone else had left the room but the one student. Two hours passed and the student finaly got up and the teach said to him, I'm sorry but I told you only 30 min, so you fail. The student responded with "whats my name?" The teacher could not come up with a name. The student put his test on top of all the finals that were on top of the teachers desk and then threw them all to the floor.

The student passed... There are some advantages to classes of a few hundred.

How is that for random and off topic.

I refuse to allow myself to become entangled in this web of sheer nothingness.

Oh, BTW, I love Porsche. Mine in particular.

Did somebody call for Comic Relief? No? TOUGH!

[quote]<strong>[2 Southern Belles, at a mansion, strong accents]

1st Belle - "For my first anniversary, my husband gave me this diamond ring."

2nd Belle - "Well, isn't that nice."

1st Belle - "And, for my second anniversary my husband gave me that Mercedes Benz."

2nd Belle - "Well, isn't that nice."

1st Belle - "And, for my third anniversary my husband gave me this fine old mansion."

2nd Belle - "Well, isn't that nice."

1st Belle - "Well, enough about me - what did your husband give you?"

2nd Belle - "Well, for my first anniversary my husband gave me etiquette lessons."

1st Belle - "Etiquette lessons?! Now why would a fine upstanding southern woman like yourself need etiquette lessons?!"

2nd Belle - "Well, before we were married, I had this awful habit of saying 'F***-you'. Now I say 'well, isn't that nice'"<hr></blockquote></strong>

Jon and I have fit a Catalyst 5500 network switch and Compaq Prolient server in his hatch without folding the seat down. You can really stuff a lot in these cars....
