I've always thought that black would compliment any neutral paint color nicely. Turned out quite nicely on my black car. See the following for before/after pics.

My paint is Beige. Off-white or almond color. I cant make up my mind. HELP!!!

If you do Black you would need to tint the other lenses black or it would look off since you have a non dark color.

I tinted my turns and running lights black btw.
