What are you looking for tom ?? I can recommend the ZE912 for all season use, as I have those on both my cars for all year round. But if you want summer tires, check out the 452's. The rT615s are like auto cross tires and are sticky but once they get really hot they are hella slippery. My knowledge of those tires come from my tuner friends, they all run Japanese cars like 240s etc. That's how I got into them.

But check out discount tire, tires easy, discount tire warehouse ?? I forget lol !! There are many vendors, just search your size in each one.

Yokohama ADe08 are great too, the bridgestone RE11, but are little pricier in the sizes you want.......I'm going 225 all around on my D90's in a few months on the dunlop star specs.

A good thing to keep in mind is that with tires, you'll have to change them out anyway so you can try different tires and from there gain some ground on what is best for your car and usage.

I have 4 new ExtremeContact DW in 225/50-16 mounted on my BMW (not the all-season DWS you linked). The original suspension bobs and rolls well before the tires make noise or run out of traction. I have no issues in the rain. Noise level is very good, but the E36 cancels a lot more road noise than the 944.

I'm pretty confident that I know what I'm going to order at this point. Hopefully tomv944 and any others who may be looking for a new set of tires can also use this thread as a resource of information.

Summer tires are great in TX...except when it gets below 40F....they harden in cold temps and if there is any chance of ice, don't drive on them.

I have DWS on my Miata DD here in Ohio and they are great in the snow and amazing in the rain.

You probably don't have much snow, right? The Conti DW might make more sense for you.

D=Dry
W=Wet
S=Snow

Nope, no snow. Even if it snows, it typically happens very early in the morning so there's hardly any chance I'd be caught driving in it. Though I did for kicks in my 924S a year ago, in a semi-decent snowfall at 1AM in the morning. LOL
