"do u know if there are broken windows on ground?"

Aw C'mon. If you need some money for a drivers side window we can help. No need to be asking if me man's window was still intact and up for bid on e-bay.

I figured a little humor would help.

We'll be on watch here in the valley. Sorry to hear. If they do recover, have them check the drivtrain carefully. It's likely a gang initiation joyride. Our GM car was a victim of that. Found the next day parked in the middle of a street with a busted rim.

Dan,

Vishal,

This is very depressing. One of my big fears.

Three years ago while living in a nice neighborhood in San Jose, someone attempted to steal my 944na.

I needed the garage for a VW project and the 944 was relagated to the driveway. It was outside for only one week. On the second, third AND fourth nights the alarm sounded. Each time I went out and saw nothing, each time I reset the alarm. On the second night, (2am) I thought "must have been a cat". But I still set the alarm. Thank goodness.

Upon completition of the VW project, when I pulled the NA into the garage I noticed a black trim piece on the ground under where the car was parked. It turned out to be the trim from the rear, side small window rubber! There were chips in the paint where someone had tried to REMOVE the rear side glass with a SCREWDRIVER.

I figure the thief set off the alarm three times in hopes that I would get sick of it and turn it off.

Now that I have the 951 I am going to install a Lo Jack system in it. I want to catch one of these SOB's should they try to separate me from my baby.

Sorry for your loss. I will also keep an eye out for your ride.

why would anyone break the windows? all you have to do is put a suction cup to the sunroof lift it up to where you can unclip it and pull it out. and your in.
