I think i would go for the 951, but i do really like the 928 and cannot really tell about the car because i have never droven one. The 928 is a better car for long trips than the 951 mainly because it 'was made' as a grand tourer, but porsche failed and made a true sportscar instead <img border="0" alt="[king]" title="" src="graemlins/r.gif" />

And just a comment to the countach thingy.. its a autobahn car, made for straight lines, it got less handling than a stock 944.. trust me! But then again the Diablo is a completly different car!

Regards

I test drove the 951 yesterday, and I'm not getting one of those.

One reason - no low end grunt.

So I guess I'll look more at S2's, for me that is a car that is a lot more fun to drive. I had trouble balancing the 951 at the limit when going through some fast corners, boos is fun on the straifgts but it sure as hell is more fun to throw the car around the cornes and balance it on the limit.

The 951 I looked had only 100.000 km's on it but wasn't in as nice condition as my S2 with 170.000 km's - really prove how little the distance the car has been driven doesn't really matter on these high quality automobiles.

But I've never owned a 928 and this is probably the right time in my life to do that.

I spent a good amount of time last year running nose-to-tail with a 951 buddy of mine (each pretty stock).

If you settle on getting a 928, try to find one with a decent maintenance history and have someone knowledgeable do a pre-purchase inspection if possible. It also helps to have access to an experienced 928 mechanic, or be good with cars yourself. My 928s are maintained by factory-trained 928 guy (a veteran Audi+Porsche guy), and I wouldn't own two of them without his abilities. TB/WP change costs me something like $1000-$1100 US. Track tires this year will cost significantly more.

Things have worked in the wrong direction, still looking though. I ended up moving to another house so now I have two homes..

When I have sold one of them I'll buy a Porsche..

Anyone who wantäs a nice little house by the beach?
