Produce receipts for everything to the Insurance company, and ask what the buy back amount is...

Might come out of it with enough to buy a shell and transfer everything into and have a few $$ left over in the end...

Sorry to see this, but maybe it is a blessing in disguise!

Thanks for the encouragement, guys - I won't be doing any transferring... Don't have the space or the equipment only reason I will buy the shell would be to pass it (with the big mother of a PowerHaus turbo) off to someone else here on the board.

We'll see, though - the PO is an attorney who is very protective of this car, so I may be getting in touch with him to see what sort of receipts he can dig up and maybe get some advice re: my rights.

i'm sure the guy is an illegal alien... if not... the insurance company is going to fight you to give you a couple grand / blue book...

don't say for a moment that you're not hurt...

they only way you're gonna be getting any of your $$$ for your resto-mod is via the personal injury/trauma route.

Your OK and that is what is important.

The car can always be replaced, you can't.

Sorry to hear, but glad you got out of it unscathed. Never ceases to amaze me how strong these cars are.

Best of luck with getting the most in the insurance settlement!

My thoughts exactly. Glad to see some people in this world still willing to jump to the aid of a complete stranger no questions asked.

Sorry to hear about your baby getting smashed to bits, and hope all goes well with the insurance situation.

+1, that's awesome that those guys helped you out and boxed that douchelord in.

Glad to hear you're ok, but I'd still be in tears about my car. That really blows man. Let us know what ends up happening.

That - just - flat - out - SUCKS!!...glad you we're able to catch up to the guy. Hopefully you'll get a decent payoff on it and can build another one.
I'm glad you're to hear you weren't hurt.

Just saw this thread... glad you're okay man... could have been your life versus your car... you were very lucky and are fortunate to be able to post about it. No one can take away your hard work and dedication to the car.

I also think it is amazingly cool that the two other drivers/cars went after him. That is super, super, cool!

Keep us posted on the insurance -- we can always vouch.

glad to know that you are ok, it could have been alot worst..way worst. there are other 951's out there.

and also, thank goodness for those good Samaritans in the 300 and the WRX, and the cop wasnt too far away.

also, even though you seem ok, i would get checked out. even if your one side is still a little loose, get a physical of sorts. i remember when i got into a car accident with my family, i got hit on my side where i was sitting, and i thought i was ok. i walked around, etc and didnt go to the hospital. few days later, i go to play basketball and my knee is just killing me. it was hella sore, and i had to go to the doctor. turns out, i had a bone bruise in my left knee. they added that to the lawsuit, and added a claim.

anyway, thanks for sharing the story, and glad to know your ok.
