Though I have yet to go there, I have heard that the dragon is the most demanding public road in the US.

I would attend if the get together was in Ohio. I am excited for the 944fest this summer that Dan Has put together.

944 Fest is just outside Cleveland. Perhaps this year my car will make it!

Greg - Welcome to the boards. What color is you 944.. and what area are you mostly in? I see a mess of NA's running around, but there are only 4 of us on the board. Me, Alan C, Firestarter (William) but he is selling his, and now you! Be sure to keep in touch with us, we try and do a beer night here and there. E-mail me if you need info.. etc.

Now.. back to the subject.. St. Louis could work too.. and by then, if my motor is not done I can kick Garrity's *** and steal one of his 3.0 conversions. Unfortunately, having once lived in St. Louis, there is not that many places for a good drive.

You guys should plan on attending the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in July. It is a really nice event, and it is not limited to just P-cars. In addition to all of the cars on display(every marque you can imagine), there is some great vintage racing. As an added bonus, Porsche is this years' featured marque--which means there should be some interesting/unique P-cars on display. Allegheny Region PCA always has a nice turn-out of vehicles and is a big supporter of the event. Come on out to the 'burgh, so I can see some of your ugly faces and beautiful cars . I will post more info. when available(I have to go home and get a Rundschau).

Santa Cruz, California here...

Shouldn't it be held in an equally challenging geographic area for east coast, west coast, south east, south west, mid west and texas members?

Hawaii?

Hey Perry,

Well, I have a white 944, with BBS mesh rims. Probably won't see it around much right now, as it stays home when the weather is bad. Plus, I spend an awful lot of time in the older Audi now, as I drive that from Delhi to Moscow OH every day.

I've been on the e-mail lists for about 2 years now, but I just started checking out the boards on occasion.
Let me know if you guys do beer nights, I'm always up for those!

Gold BBS Mesh with a PCA sticker on the rear drivers quarter window? Do any banking at 5th 3rd in Kenwood? I see one there every once in a while.

How about meeting in St. Louis, MO April 20-21? That's the Carrera Classic Weekend at Gateway International Raceway with DE and AutoX, Charity Laps for the non racers and a new thing for those wanting to go a little faster, a High Performance Driving Segment where an instrutor rides with you. Other than that, I second the Hocking Hills site as a former Clevelander and OU '82! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Well, yep, it's an alpine white 944 with gold bbs mesh rims, and a PCA sticker in the quarter window. BUT, I don't do any banking in Kenwood, so either someone is stealing my car, and driving it when I'm not looking, or there's another one just like mine in Cincy.
How awkward. : )

I live over on the west side, so I'll have to start cruising around Kenwood, and find out who this imposter is... ; )

I think someone may be taking your car!!! No joking, I know I have seen at least 15 diffrent 944's, tons of 911's, a GT2, and a very very clean 928GTS in Zermatt Silber.. oohhh.. my favorite!

I need to get mine back on the road so I can recruit some of these people!

Now.. anyone have more ideas where the gathering should be? There is a pretty good following in the Chicago area.. bot no one has mentioned that yet. Atlanta could be fun too.

Also.. what is the best timeline? Several of us will just barely get the cars back together by mid April.. how about June or July? This way school is out.. summer vacation time can be had easy for most of us from the employer.

What about a water-pumper meet at the National GrandPrix in Washington DC 19 - 21 July 2002 in RFK Stadium.
