Seat recovering

I have the Porsche script in my car. I'll try to get some picture up this weekend. I really like it. Mine are really faded and the "Porsche" is knind of hard to see but I still thinks is looks cooler than just solid seats.

Here are two shots of the "Porsche" script cloth inserts from my 86 951-
although they appear a bit purple in tone in these photos, they're actually a rich dark black color. They also breathe really well in hot weather. They're a little faded in the rear seats, under the big glass expanse (time for window tinting), but in great shape otherwise.
Cheers,
Steve Cooper

Hey Ben,
My driver's seat door side panel used to look just like yours. I have found that you can save some $ is you do some of the "work" yourself. So, I took my driver's seat out, took the back off of the seat, and took just the back in to an upholstery place. They had to buy a yard of vinyl (I got the extra left over) but the whole job was $80. Brought it back home, re-assembled, and problem solved!

Ben,
My drivers seat had the same wear as yours and to postpone repair I removed the seatbacks and switched sides. The worn spot is now on the inside of the passenger seat and won't get any bigger. Very easy job. 2 screws on the trim, couple bolts and the cable for the seat back release. Took about 30 min and didn't even get dirty.
