Tons of different things... but you'd want to see what you could actually fit in the depth of that area before you go nuts cutting...

Are you doing to keep the speakers under the panel or over it? If over, then you'll need to manufacture a standoff to support the speaker too... you're in for some fun, I see... if you're not up for that, get some good 4x6's in there and work on a sub somewhere...

What are the details of your setup that you're trying to get to?

These are the fronts I have in my car.

They are a million times better than the stockers.... only thing is, for the speaker cover to sit flush, you have to take a hole saw, and cut a 1" (If I remember right) hole in them for the tweeter to poke out.

I did 1 1/4 and there is a small gap..... but it still looks good. I doesn't look stock, but it looks clean. A 1" hole would look better.

I finally found some that allow the speaker covers to fit flush. They're Alpine SXE-4625S. Ebay seller in UK has them. About $50 plus shipping. Sound great and perfect fit.
