Sandén told me the spoiler is a copy of a Gemballa spoiler. I do not know if that is correct or not, but I do know that Gemballa does not manufacture anything for the 944 any more.

That's what he told me also.I have seen these spoilers on several US based 951's as well, so if it is Gemballa clone, perhaps it has been cloned in the States as well.German tuning companies does have quite little offering for our cars. They are just too old for them.Zender used to have quite nice body kit for 944's.It's not anylonger on production. They even destroyed the molds.
Gurra, was it difficult to install that spoiler?
I am supposed to have mine quite soon.

The lip is not pre-drilled so I think it would be very difficult to install the spoiler without removing the bumper.
I had my bumper removed, turned it upside down and placed the spoiler on top of it and then drilled. It took some time though since the bumper is flexible and does not hold its correct form when off the car. In other words - this is not a one man job!
Also, you have to drill through two layers. Both the "upper" and "lower" side.
Look below and imagine the spoiler from the side. You have to drill through both 'X'.

Hey Duke, I noticed your Turbo-S has the front headlight washers installed, and have a question reguarding something I was told. Did your car come with factory air-bags as well?

Thanks

My car did not come with factory airbags. I do not think airbags were standard on any 944 sold in Europe. At least not in Germany or Sweden.
I do not even think it was an option until it became standard equipment when the 968 was released.

Duke's right.Air bags were not a standard on any euro sold 944 model. They came as a standard on 968.
in Sweden & Finland headlamp washers have been manadatory from mid '70's.When Sweden & Finland joined to the EU they made regulations more close to EU regulations, so no more mandatory headlamp washers.

What comes to that front spoiler Duke have, i put here a pic of the US based 951.It has this same spoiler. So, someone sells them over there!

You are right Olli, but my car is originally sold in Germany so I assume the washers came as standard in Germany too!

The 968 one sure as hell doesn't look like the one in the pictures...it's just like the GT Racing one. I'm starting to think I want a 951 splitter on my 968.

It's does look like my AIR Splitter and they are a pain to install, has the 2 layers and you have to drill holes and align everything, then try to tighten the bolts, but they do look great once on.

Are those Fikse Wheels on the Black car ? What sizes ?

Ok, so far no one has indicated where one can purchase that front end spoiler (as seen on the green 951) here in the U.S.

I looked on AIR but it's not the same.

Anyone know?

Wow... that black 951 is stunning...

The splitter on the other car looks exactly like the AIR splitter I have installed on my 87. It is a ROYAL pain in the *** to install, but once it does, the car looks phenomenal.

If youre going to track the car, Ive heard that the lip adds considerable downforce to the front of the car.

Here is what I want to know...

On the black car... is the rear rubber "wing" stock? It looks "bigger/deeper" than mine... if its aftermarket... where can I get one of those beauts?
