Default Pics of project 944 turbo I bought today

Went over to Birmingham, AL and bought today with Brad (ilikemy944). The trip went pretty smooth and we met up with Albert for lunch. This car has no motor in it and has been sitting for 3 years. There is a welded in cage but it is short.

Hope you guys got promise rings so you stay committed to each other. Seems like a decent body and the roll bars are nice.

Cool. Looks horrid but I love projects like this. Good opportunity to have fun modifying without worrying so much about being ultra pristine about everything. Great for romping on at the track too. Or are you going to be parting it out?
I have a set of the same wheels, they are ROH ZR6's in case you were wondering. They will look much better with smaller tires

Default Some good parts

If you want to raise some funds, sell the Euro Fog/Driving Lights and their corresponding switch, as well as the A/C control unit.

Sad to see it in such a state of disrepair. Makes me want to nurture it back to new. Interesting colour. What is it? What are your plans for it Josh? I don't imagine you paid much for it.

way to go Josh. Looks better in your pictures. You going to rebuild? Seems to have been a decently optioned car.

Body is decent but the rollbar isn't tight against the roof - needs to be cut out and redone probably.

Thanks for the heads up on the wheels - was wondering what kind they are. Are they light?

It is a repaint - not sure the name of the color. Probably paid too much for it - didn't come with DME/KLR, wastegate, engine harness, airbox, exhaust, oil cooler, radiator, underpanels, sideskirts or rear valance.

I would like to find someone who is looking to buy a track car but that hasn't worked real well before for me.

Thanks for the heads up on the car! Was a pretty smooth trip going to get it. It is pretty rough the closer you look. All the sound deadening was taken out and replaced, carpet was poorly redone, seats have been dyed from a tan color, tires have big patches of rubber missing, etc.....

They are just your average cast aluminum. Probably not much lighter or heavier than other cast al. wheels of its size specs. Looks like in the pictures those are 16's? They are probably a bit lighter than the 17" versions that I have.

I see these model wheels on older Mustangs often, sometimes Camaro's and the mid 90's model Impala SS wheels look almost identical. I have seen them a few times on some Porsche race cars though, so who knows. I haven't weighed mine yet.

Saw this car at the track and snapped a pic because of the wheels

most common on foxbody mustangs

Thats a bit of a shame. But glad the trip went well. Maybe someone wants a good starter track car roller

What can you tell about the engine? Did it come with a head?
