So I found that a fuel injector was spraying due to a tear in an injector o-ring. I need to replace one injector o-ring. I have a few o-rings lying around.
The only problem is removing the injector cap without cracking or breaking it. I've removed the old ones before and I broke each one while doing so. Mind you I was not being careful since I was replacing them anyway.
Has anyone successfully removed a cap without breaking it?

hmmm, I'm thinking it would be better to pry from the plastic washer instead of the cap itself. this might spread the force over the entire cap instead of putting too much pressure on one side. Posted this on pelicanparts forum and someone said they got a set of caps and seals for $6 from pep boys!!

just get the reseal kit. there is an equivalent o-ring/cap kit for a ford injector at $2.50 apiece at kragen/autozone. dont know the niehoff part number but it should be for a ford thunderbird turbocoupe 2.3L

just got it off without breaking it! I cut the o-ring off with an exacto knife, then took a pair of needle nose and pulled up on the plastic washer and it popped off with a good amount of force.
Time to lube the hell out of them and get that back into the car!
