Wink Put my new wheels on today! (pics)

I bought some 17 in boxter wheels for the ol 951. Man they need wheel spacers! Especially the front. How much is the question and who to buy a nice set from. The rear looks ok but the front looks a 924 with wide fenders stuck over it! Thanks guys.

hum, you put late offset wheels on a early ofset car right?

Spacers are needed all around then, paragon, pelican, or any number of places are bound to have them for you. Right now your car is sitting on a track narrowed at least 19mm hurting the handling of your car. And in back I the 23 mm offset was to narrow to begin with so it like 25mm differnece in back of what is should be....

Assuming you have an '86, the following will apply...

Put 21mm spacers in the front and 28mm spacers in the rear. I bought all of my spacers from Oklahoma Foreign. At the time I purchased mine, the rear spacers were $50 each and the fronts were $25 each.

Here’s the complete parts list I used.

Front Wheels
911.331.671.00 Ten each 65mm wheel studs (stock is 45mm) - $3.70 each
477.501.701 Two each 21mm wheel spacer (came stock on rear of ’82-’85 944na)
Rear Wheels
901.331.671.01 Ten each 72mm wheel studs (stock is 45mm) - $3.62 each
930.331.611.04 Two each 28mm wheel spacer (used on rear of 911-Turbo)

Unfortunately, the spacers are not “bolt” on and you will need to have new studs installed. I elected not to do this myself and paid a local Porsche shop to do the work for me. They charged $350 for all four wheels.

Your price may vary.

I purchased bolt on spacers from Crow Automotive:

<a href="http://www.crowautomotive.com/" target="_blank">http://www.crowautomotive.com/</a>

I am very satisfied with the price, product, and service. I have an '86 NA with late offset, 15X7" phone dials. I'm using 1.25" spacers on each front wheel and 2" spacers on the rear. I assume your Boxster wheels are wider and won't need as much spacing.
