rear camber adjustment range
i installed 30mm tbars in the rear and doing an alignment. for some reason, the driver and pass sides don't match up on the range of camber. the ride heights are both same .
the driver side goes from -1.7 to -3.something
the pass side goes from -0.5 to -2.something
why is that? i just had my guy set both to -1.7 so they'd at least match up.

Something is a little off. I have experineces that on most 944 spec cars getting the rear toe perfect is a bit hard as it is right on the edge of adjustment range. However getting rear camber is not that hard.
Of course we are looking for -2 to -3.5 given what most guys run.
One fact that any shop should deal with is that if the car is not level you can see that in the camber measurments. 0.5 deg + on one side turns into -0.5 on the other just from the car being at angle due the floor not being level.
What you may need to do is loosen all 3 bolts in the rear arms and rest the entire thing. That our your eccetric bolt is a little damaged.
BTW.. when you adjust toe in the rear it will change camber. Any rear toe is ciritical in in track performance. Run toe out on the track and rear will want to swap ends in hard braking. Now this is actually handy for autocross.

Hmm, my theory was that one of the delrin bushings didn't have the hole directly in the center... so your spring plate had a little tilt in it. Not as valid a suggestion with the ER bushings.
But, I wonder if the whole torsion bar tube is misaligned a little bit - or something like that.
Did you change the torsion bar tube mounting bushings? Are the 2 "arms" that go up into the wheel wells lined up right?

What are you calling the banana arm? The control arm that has this bushing:

Or the end cap arm that has this mount:
