new 944 owner
I traded for an 85 944 about 2-3 months ago. Cars paint is good. Tires are practically new. Currently has a fart can on it that needs replaced (anyone)? Cars missing a radio along with speakers it looks like, would like to get something in there. Since I've had the car I've come across a starting issue I've tried to weed through. Have replaced DME, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ignition coil, and fuel pump. Still did not fix problem so let it go to shop. They found some wiring to be messed up and fixed that and car would start. Though car still has an issue with cold start which is being looked into. I also need to put front sway bar back on, figure out the power steering which is not hooked up and would like to fix odometer and dash lights, along as put in system. Any help with anything to help would be nice. Thanks and I apologive for long winded introduction. Here are some pic.
Horrid fart can that needs replaced.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM. A good place for maintenance information is at clarks garage.com at the link below. Read the TECH Articles on here and at Pelican Parts. The Search Option at top of the page is also a great help. Hope this helps sort out some of your problems.

Welcome to Rennlist friend. Great looking 944, looks like you made a good trade. I like the black with the BBS rims, sweet combo. Anyway, good to see here and good luck with the car.

To Gpa#3 my dad is also retired USAF and currently in Ga also. Thought it was weird and decided to point out.
To Sweetskill thanks for compliments on car. I have thought about changing my wheels though.
To I Am Imprezed its cool that your in my area but i have to say I don't like the drive out to Ellenville nor do I feel there's much to do there. If you ever come this way when i have car up and running good would have no problem maybe hanging out. I wouldn't even mind going over to New Paltz/Highland or Kingston area to hang out. A new car friend is always good.

Did the PO also tidy up the engine bay with colored wire loom and LEDS? Just going out on a limb here...
