Yes. That was the original color of the car. There were several coats of paint on it, each successive job was worse than the previous.

The car is being re-assembled. I stopped by yesterday, but didn't have my camera. Will go today on my way home and get some shots.
I am psyched. But there is lots more work to do when I get the car back into my garage. Many long nights ahead.

Default Reassembly underway....

It's starting to look like a car again.
The main exterior paint is largely complete. He needs to address a run on the front.
The interior less the dash is out at the upholsterer. The spoiler, rear valence, and mirrors are yet to be painted.

Cool. You'll have to make a road trip with that thing and bring it back here to show it off.

And then Kevin and I can show you a little project we're cooking up.

What might that project be?

Update: Car is still at the paint shop. Everything is painted, it is getting wet sanded, compound and glaze.
The new sunroof panel is in, it looks amazing.
The seats are done, but still at the upholsterer waiting for the paint to be done. Probably going to take the new, used carpet over, and have them install as they put the seats back in.
Going to dye the dash for now, looking to replace when funds are replenished. There is stereo work, suspension and oil pan gasket to do once the car is back next weekend.
Pics this week.

I know there is at least two people waiting for an update...
He is still wetsanding the car. All of the exterior pieces are painted and cleared. They are still off the car.
The car is about 1/2 sanded. He compounded and glazed a section for me on Friday...the result was AMAZING. He is going to finish wet sanding. Then compound and glaze with the buffer, then hand glaze after that.
The upholsterer is done with the seats, they are at his shop. I haven't see them yet.The sunroof panel is back in the car and looks great. I decided to have him put the new-used carpet in the car for me. That will not hamper the stereo work too much.
Next is more wet sanding, then the black trim and reassembly and the exterior is done. He was talking Friday, but I am not holding my breath. Pics once done, or if something significant is completed. Right now pics don't do the job justice.
