Gumball 2003
I have a great urge to run the Gumball next year. Does anybody want to try to get sponsored and run a car next year? I know the chances of actually pulling this off are ****ty, but it might be worth a try. I am probably just dreaming though.

I think this year it was something like $25,000. Like I said, there really is no chance that I will be partaking in it next year, but one never knows.

Yeah, I bet there are tons of companies out there that would knock down your door for a chance to be featured on a car like this:
I can see the headlines now: "The (insert your company name here) Mercedes competing in the Gumball 3000 Rally smashed head on into a station wagon, killing a mother and six children on their way to volunteer at the humane society. The Mercedes was traveling at 175 mph, attempting to catch up to a twin turbo Porsche 924S."
BTW, the founder of the company listed at the top of that car's windshield has since fled his home country, threatened suicide, changed his name, been deported back to his home country, and been arrested and charged with fraud and fourteen counts of driving without a license.

I was actually trying to avoid the morbid consequences. I was not very serious from the start. It was simply a suggestion. But seriously, a lot of the cars ARE sponsored...for some reason that I am not aware of.

I've seen that website transform over the last several years from a pretty cool personal page to an all out psycho-ego-maniac page. Crazy. Didn't know he got sent back to Germany. Interesting what this German thinks about Germany. Just like what some Americans think about America.

I wouldn't mind running in this just for the partying... but I don't quite have $9000 to spend at the moment. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" /> Until then I guess I have to settle for videos...
