New tires
I have a 90 S2 Cab (white/Navy Blue)and want to get new tires. Currently has 205/55/16 on front and 225/50/16 on back. Couple of question if I may. Does anyone have some good tires for sale? Can I go to 225/50/16 on front and 245/45/16 rears? Any recommendation for tires. No winter driving but occasional driving in rain. Not for the track but just somewhat aggressive fun. Thanks for advance for you help

There is some leeway, here. But as krystar mentioned, you should first figure out what size rims you have. I'm running non-staggered tires (225's) on staggered rims (7" & 8") to try to dial out some of the car's understeer. You may or may not want to do that (mine is a DE car).
Also, on my S2000 (which comes stock with the exact same size tires (but not rims) as my 951), I've run as wide as 265/45/16 on its 7.5" rear rims. Those were Hoosier A6's for autocrossing.
Finally, I've taken the OE S2000 rear tires (Bridgestone S-02's in 225/50/16) and run them on all 4 corners of my 951 without trouble. Note that they are 225 in NOMINAL width, but in fact, are actually about the same width as every other 245 out there. So, at least in my case (951 early offset with Fuchs), I can say that it is possible to run a non-staggered 245/45/16, if you want.
Safest bet is to go with 205f, 225r. Dial out understeer with 225's on all 4 corners. Add some more grip with 225f/245r. Add maximum grip with minimal understeer with 245's all around.

The S2 came with 16x7.0 frt & 16x8.0 rear those are the wheels tomv944 should have on is car if they are the OE one.Over the years I had the chance of trying different brands of tires ( from Perelli to khumo) the one that really did the job for me are "Falken " I wanted an all around tire witch will be good in the wet-dry-minimal noise-good tread wear & very stiky when it came to road holding at higth speed & spirit driving "I'm not tracking the car I'm talking streewise" As far as combo is concern I will go wider rear but like( teamking) mention it's all depend what you want I check Falken & they do have the applications mention for your car in the falken 452 if you buy do it from a reilable source witch has knowledge about P cars explain what you want & they will help you with your choice.

Falken Azenis RT615's are an awesome tire. That's what I run on my daily driver in the summer. however, they are 2 years ago's tire.
Bridgestone RE-11, Hankook Ventus RS-3's and Yoko Advan AD08's are the newest generation. and those are already a year old hehe

Thanks
Thank all of you for your advice. I did check out the falken and they do not make a 245/45/16. I think I will stay with the stock set up 205f 225r

245/45/16 is a pretty unusual size for a street tire. i searched discounttire and looks like yoko avs es100's are the only street tire in that size. tirerack has the damn fuzion zri's in that size hehe.

I've been really surprised at how good these Michelin PE2's are. I'm running 205/225 36/40psi. The sidewalls feel a little soft but that's actually kinda' nice on the street. Wet grip is very good, I'm surprised at how much they hang on, great in the dry. Nice and forgiving too. Ultimately I'll run 225's or 245's all round.
By the way. Does anyone know why it's just the 1990 S2 that specs 44psi for the rears instead of 40psi? They all run 16mm rear sways and everything else is the same. (except for M030 of course).

kind of scary as to how narrow 245 selection has gotten, just wow
I've been thinking of doing 225/50's all around on 16x7 and 16x8's but maybe by the time I'll have to buy new tires there will be more options in 245's
