Default Introduction

Hello. My name is Aaron and I have owned my 1983 944 since march of 2006. I purchased the car as a non runner from a friend.
I have been slowly replacing parts and getting the car the way I want it. It still has a long ay to go. I was considering selling the car for something bigger as I had grown tired of my small sports car with my 2 6 foot tall kids folded inside to go anywhere. However, I have had a change of heart thanks to Rennlist. I have fallen back in love with my Pcar and can not bring myself to part with it at this time. I guess the kids will have to deal. (My oldest willbe driving shortly on his own anyway)
Here is a linkto my Cardomain site.
Thanks for looking and by the way, I love these forums!

welcome! the car looks pretty clean, nice job! i have one thing to complain about....that "cold air" intake. On these cars the stock intake is one of the best you can have...it flows very well, and it is a true cold air intake...the cone filters really aren't an upgrade, although they do look a little better! Other than that, the car looks well maintained and it looks like you've put some work into it! good job, keep it up!

Hey Aaron, welcome!

Nice looking car, I like the shaved bumpers... I did the same with mine! Looks clean on that silver/gold colored car.

I'll be looking forward to seeing the car in person soon at the Southeast 944 Bash!

The interior is fair for the age of the car. The seats were recovered about a year before I purchased it. The car needs to be re-painted. I agree that the filter is not ideal.. I haven't done much to the car other than drive it lately, but I am getting the itch to really put some effort in to it.

alright, sounds like a great little project!

now are you sure that the car really needs to be repainted? or could it be buffed out? the paint didn't look to bad in the pictures.

I appreciate the comments. I felt like I had to shave the bumpers because the rubber was very deteriorated from the sun. I did that about 3 years ago. The car needs paint bad.. It has areas where the clear is chipped off the back and the front has areas that were painted with rattle cans.. Soon though...
