Just curious, what is the best color you have seen on a 944/951 and if you have a photo, please post. I am interested in non-standard colors as well. he reason I am asking is that at some point I am going to begin another 944 project/restoration and am considering what color I might want to go with. Thanks!

I used to love Guards Red. My current 944 is Guards Red and I have grown sick of it for some reason. I think white is my new favorite color, especially on Turbos.

Anything dark looks good but is such a pain in the a$$ to keep clean / scratch / swirl free. Mine is guards red which is ok, but if I had a choice I would make it light silver or white.

The prettiest Turbo I've seen was in a pearlescent white... dunno the factory name of the color, and I think it was offered for only one or two years.
It was for sale when I was first looking for a 944 in '93. Sadly, it had a white interior and was in very poor mechanical condition, or I'd have bought it. Now that I know how to work on them, and have a place to work, I'd have bought it anyway. The mechanicals can be fixed, and the interior can be dyed or changed out.
I'm not a fan of dark colors, even tho' my 968 is dark green (gotta take what you can find, sometimes! Yes, I wanted a white one.). Dark colors are too hot in the summer, and too hard to keep looking good. I also think that the lighter colors show off the lines of the car better.
Edit: White & other light colors also show stone chipe less, since they tend to match the primer underneath...
Jim, all a matter of taste... some have it, some don't...
