Yes! A big thumbs up!

Also can't help but notice the door speakers--it appears to be a tweeter above and probably a 6.5 below. Can you share what you had to do beneath the skin to make it work?

Whoa! I'm afraid my ignorance may be showing---in this case about the S2. Got to looking closer at your picture and notice that there appears to be a fixed window portion forward of the door handle (interior). I guess the answer to my question above is that there isn't any moving window gut in this part of the door in this model car. Correct?

You have correctly noticed that this is a tweeter/ 6.5" combo. The tweeters are some old pioneers from a set of separates with no badging so they look oem. The 6.5" are new kenwoods. My ideals were quarts but they are too much $. The sound is much improved from before. I had to make some small mods on the sheet metal behind, I will fill you in when I complete and document the driver side.

newoldguy- you correctly point out that there is a fixed quarter glass. My car is a cabriolet it has a different door glass than standard coupes. You can see this in my p-car site if you click on the link under my signature.

Thanks for the compliments.

BTW- the most difficult part was modifying the door handles to accommodate the extra depth from the leather panels.

Thumbs up

Nice job on the panels. Did you do your own stitching? What is that on the door sills? (I'm interested in protecting mine)

My wife did the stitching. She was nervous about doing it but it turned out great. The arm rest is the same material but it is just wrapped around the middle section. It is actually synthetic, I got it at a fabric store. You can not tell that it is not leather. It even feels like the real stuff. I am sure if you examined it you might be able to see it is not leather, but I am very happy.

The door sills are a product I found locally for another vehicle. I saw it a measured mine and it was a fit. It is a hard abs black plastic. I like it better that most of the metal thresholds I have seen. They cost about $30 bucks.
