If I don't still have the 944 I'd be interested in coming with the 996.

Kieth - sounds great, I'll definitely shoot you and everyone an email once it gets sorted!

knfeparty - keep the 944!!! Haha, either way I'd love to have you down for the event, keep me posted! PS there will be a group headed down from the Jax area. I'll put you on their list so they can get in touch with you to organize their caravan if you're interested in joining.

Hi,

Sounds cool. Just missed the event last year....recent relocation from Chicago to St. Pete (Seminole, really). I have not started the car in months, and the RA1's are probably square by now, but I'll try to get her in shape.

knfeparty - will do! I'm also trying to unload one of my 3 German coupes... a rotting 924!

Banshee - there's GOT to be some major PCA events at the very least in your area... Last couple times I was in California there were Porsches around every corner it seemed!

Dr. Porsche - Welcome to FL! I'll look forward to meeting you at the event! And I'll also take those square RA1's off your hands too

Mike - sounds good, lets get your car in tip-top shape, people are going to be shocked when they see how your car looks now compared to how it did from last time

Man ill tell you i see them almost all the time too, problem is none of the owners seem to be on rennlist, AND if there are any Porsche events that reach out to owners in a P car appreciation sort of way, i have yet to hear of one.

Ive mentioned this randomly in other threads a few times now but theres only 1 other person i know of on Renns here who lives even remotely near me.

O/T
Just spent the past 10 days in FL, saw a very nice early possibly? guards red 944 w/ silver cookies leaving Lake June area (guy and gal), metallic tan 928 parked at "No Frills" near lake June and also a shiny black S4 in St. Augustine. I might end up in this area a few years from now, also saw quite a few 944s on A1A and 75 while buzzing around the state. I feel like these cars belong in the sun next to the palm trees hopefully mine will make it down.

Cool! I'm not too familiar with Lake June, but I know its somewhere nearby Sebring... did you get a chance to go by the track?
944's around here are hiding everywhere. I just saw a red one with fuchs today while driving home. Glad you enjoyed the area though! Too bad it was still soooo cold compared to a usual winter here. Normally it would be t-shirt and shorts weather in the winter here.

Banshee - there has got to be a regional PCA club near your area at least? If there's really nothing around, don't hesitate to form your own group!!! My events are nothing formal, just me flagging down the local 944 guys, handing out fliers at local shops, making calls, and posting threads to gather people together, and it works!

Didn't make it to the track this time but have been there many times. My grandfather is friends with Bob Tulius and I have been around his hangar a few days in my life. If anyone has a chance to make it down to Sebring I encourage you to visit Tulius's hangar and make a donation to the humane society. Its well worth your time.

I'll try and make it if I have the time. I'm located in Pensacola which is a pretty good drive, but I'm in Tallahassee on the weekends. Are you going to be at the daytona 24hr rolex this year?
