Need a motor mount. Which one?
My oil leak(s) pummeled my passenger side motor mount. I see two options. The Porsche mount is like $200 and an aftermarket mount is about $35. There are also solid mounts. What does a solid mount accomplish?

Seems like the mounts at Paragon and Pelican are more like $120ish. Definitely do this kind of mount because the cheap aftermarket ones seem to fail really quickly.

Oh and if money is a factor and you like to experiment, put in just the passenger side mount and see if it fixes your problem. My passenger side mount was broken in half and I just replaced that one. My major vibration was gone and it has been fine for 2 years since.

my passanger one collapsed so i replaced it with a victor reinz unit. Its not solid so its very smooth but its not adjustable which i may regret when i have to do work. I would say if you dont track your car go with the victor reinz its affordable and very nice quality. If not try the lindsey hybrid unit.

I am currently looking at LINDSEY RACING's "Ultra Mount" Engine Mounts. www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/944ENGMOUNTS.html
Stiffness is between sold metal mounts and factory (style) mounts, and still seems acceptable for a street car. Therefore might be the way to go!
Please let me know any experiences anyone has with "Ultra Mount" (or with similar motor mounts).

Solid engine mounts create ALOT of vibration. Not while driving much but idle and stop and go there is alot. Personally that wouldnt bother me, but another area to look at is the oil pickup tube. We know they are prone to cracking and some bad vibrations from solid mounts won't help.
Dont know for sure if that type of vibration could cause the pickup to crack, but if it was me, I would be slightly concerned.
