Redline MT-90 + LSD??
I have a couple of bottles of Redline MT-90 left: can I use them in my LSD transaxle as is, or will I need a friction additive?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you search, some LSD owners prefer Swepco 201. If you begin to feel vibrations or stiff shifting you might try it or an additive?.
Here is a condensed Redline application page.

I don't know of anywhere that I can get Swepco (I live in a fairly small town in Canada where it's hard enough to get Redline). Will it be bad for an LSD transmission to use MT-90 in it? If so, will the addition of a friction additive make everything okay?
Gah! I was so happy when I finally found Redline for my non-lsd car that I bought a bunch. I hope it won't have to go to waste!

Maybe the Swepco web site or a Rennlist sponsor, Pelican

Thanks, John. I'm a big supporter of Pelican (and have posted there often, as I'm sure you recognize) but there are a few things Canadians can't get from them, including corrosive liquids and oil, which isn't really importable by individuals, and especially not by mail.
Swepco is attainable up here, but not within 150 miles of where I live, hence my stockpile of Redline.
For anyone: is MT-90 going to ruin my LSD?

I think you would be better served by going with RedLine's 75W90 with an LSD. Reading a bottle of mine that I have, it says that no friction modifiers are needed when used with a limited slip differential. I have used it on the street and at the track, and it has performed very well.
I made the mistake of putting in the 75W90NS once and the LSD chattered on turns. I would think you would get the same behavior with the MT-90. That is intended for open diffs only.

MT-90 is the correct GL4 rated lube for the 944 trans. There is no need for an LSD additive. I've raced mine for years using MT-90 and when i opened up the trans it looked perfect. Use it with confidence.

Thank you to everyone -- I'll give it a shot, and I'll be on the lookout for rattling or roughness, especially when turning.
The car only has about 65k miles on it, so I'm pretty nervous that I'll do something stupid and spoil it!
