OK at risk of putting my hand back in the fire.
As this is an open forum site maybe we could have an application like system for titles. Any one who desires to have a specific title and has the expertise can apply for a specific title based on time on board and pier opinion.
Example:
With, say 3 months on the board and as a contributing member to the technical forums a person could apply for the title of “tutor” or “contributor”. This application of course would be up for opinion against his/her piers and generally agreed upon via a poll on the application by those who so choose to be a part of the process “Basically any one on the board.
Further a selected group could then agree and or disagree with the combined general opinion and applicant would be or would not be given the specific title. I know this sounds a bit complicated and I am sure there are many other opinions on this subject “all welcome of course” but this would ensure the ability for the board to manage itself with out having a constant overseer present to manage the process.
This kind of process will promote a more involved person to assist others in working through issues with solid information and gain the trust of the other on the board.
Just trying to contribute.
This is anide that just hit me. Why not a completly pier run system something like ebay. ?

One idea John, since we are the subjet . Place the persons name who made the last comment on each post and how many views it gets on each post. I saw it on another forum, kinda neat.
