New S2 Cab owner need tires
#17
to me the 205's are just to narrow for these cars, especially if driven in a sporting manner. 205s are great on the street though, because they tend not to get sucked into truck ruts on the roads.
The previous owner of my car went to 17's because he didn't like the selection of 15" choices. 16"s aren't much better.
That said, i am looking for some 15" wheels for some R comps for Autocross!

I had Goodyear Eagle F1s on my car in a 17" size. They were great in terms of performance in dry/wet and not too noisy. But in cold weather they lost a lot of grip. I think they were a good choice for the vehicle.
I was much happier with the 17" size instead of 16" as there were more choices for tires and I thought the car looked much more aggressive and planted with the larger size. For 16" tires I had used both Pirelli and Fulda tires. Both were okay but nothing compared to those Goodyears!
