Post post pic of 944 rear with body kit pleeze

I have recently been thinking about getting a 944 turbo instead of a Mr2 turbo, but honestly the 944 rear is well ugly. I hate it. Please show me something that would change my mind. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

The rear ends of the turbos w/ the rear lower valence look pretty mean. If you buy an mr2 turbo thats the only part of a 951 you will be seeing. LOL.... just kidding around I'm at the tail of a 12hr night shift.

Sounds like you're looking for rice, I don't know of that kind of "kit" for a 944.

Well... i actually have something to say on this.
My buddy on the other end of the state is as big an MR2 fan as i am of the 944. We're in a constant battle to one-up the other. We both started out with n/a models and now were into turbos. He recently called to inform me that his 'new' car would be faster than mine... a mod'd mr2 turbo. I made the trip to memphis and checked out his car -looked very nice and was quick, but in a boring sorta way -very linear acceleration that never gave me a big impression. This is much unlike the 951, which has more tq than hp, unlike the mr2 i believe. Anyway, back to the issue at hand here. IMO, the car looks good from the back, but NOT AS TOUGH as any stock 951. I dont think these cars need any help in the hind quarters -i agree that its one of their best 'aspects'. One of the things i truly appreciate about these cars -they absolutely look fabulous just the way they are. No add-ons necessary at all, tho wheels i feel fall into a different catagory.

Oh yeah, when he called to inform me of having been 1-up'd i immediately replied "Oh, well we'll see about that once i get the motor reinstalled in the car. I'm doing a complete rebuild and maybe a little mod or two (Guru kit!). I think he'll be BUMMIN'. I cant wait!!

I was told by someone very wise on this board (forgot who right now) that body kits are what people put on economy cars to make them look like a sports car, the 944 already is a sports car and therefore needs no addition of a body kit.

Damn some of you guys are butt hurt. You can't accept that someone has different tastes. Ignorance . My tastes tell me that the 944 rear is ugly and no I'm not some rice boy, I'm very anti-rice. Thanks MichelleJD that;s kinda what I was looking for except that wing looks ugly...any other people that can actually contribute to this post

I have seen a fiberglass louver that goes underneath the rear bumper (not the turbo style) that looks neat. I saw it performance products catalog but I don't have a picture of it.
Why don't you like rice? it's full of calcium and a great source of fiber! J/K

Don,

Just a few words of advice.

You, in this one thread, have called "us" ignorant twice now.

Not a very good way to make friends - especially when you post a question asking for our help.

You said that you wanted either a MR2(rice) or a 944. Thats where we are getting the rice from.

And of course this being a 944 site, we are abviously steering you toward the 944 and not the MR2(rice).

Pologuy you hit the nail on the head. I had to read the post twice to make sure that it was Don Juan that had called us ignorant. How do you expect to get any advice that way?

Anyway, I can['t remember who did it but there was that guy who posts on here on occasion with the S2 that grafted the 968 rear end onto it. It took a lot of work but boy did it look good.

Doesn't the rear of a VW Corado have a lot in common with the rear of a 944?

Alan C. What type of exhaust is that on your car?

Just my $.02
