Take it easy Tony, the post is two years old .

As far as passion invoking Japanese cars, while they're rare I agree, they certainly exist. Remember the old Zs? You know, the ones that were Datsuns instead of Nissans. I love 70s and 80s sports cars, and if I'm ever loaded, you can bet that you'll find a fully restored 240Z or 280Z in my garage. (probably in between my Miura and my M1)

I think the 951 with a euro bumper looks really nice and looks better than the US bumper with the black nubbies. Then you have to put the lower lip spoiler on the 951 front and it looks mean. Notice they also painted the orange in the rear lights RED. (see attached files)

One thing I've noticed about european cars is that (in my opinion) the best body kits available are the ones designed by the factory (or copies of said kits)! For example, the best looking 944 is either the 951 body (at least in the rear), and I have a soft spot for the Carrera GT nose. The older 911s? I'm all about the RS/RSR and the 930 body. And this isn't just for Porsches... I'm yet so see a BMW body kit that works as well as the factory M3 parts. When I had my Scirocco, the only body kit I ever concerned myself with was the 16V kit. Even my Jetta has the 16V aerodynamics and headlights... All OEM parts.

And the only non OEM-style kits I've ever liked on european cars are the subtle ones that only accentuate the car's lines rather than draw attention away from them.

But like I said, this is only my opinion...

In response to Blue S2, I think if the 944 was as abundant and as cheaply made and cheap to buy as a toyota or honda, there would be more body kits. Nevertheless I agree, the styling is near perfect as can be, which is why most people don't bother with body kits on these cars.
BTW, I can't believe someone dug out a 2 year old thread.
And BTW, Cup 1's rule!

Spend thousands of dollars at the body shop.

Or get rear ended by a really ugly truck.

I remember when the person who did that posted a thread about it here. It didn't end well.

And also, the # of douchebags and flamers on the forums were just as common 10 years ago, that's funny.
