All I asked for were pics. If you don't have a pic..well it's pretty simple; don't reply and move on buddy. I really could care less about other people's opinions <img src="graemlins/soapbox.gif" border="0" alt="[soapbox]" /> and I understand about the pride thing and all. I'm on other car forums (vwvortex) which I know is different then this forum, but geez like I said if you don't have a pic, please don't share your ignorance. I know that Mr2t's have nothing on 944t's when it comes to virtually every performance aspect there is, but there are other features of cars and people have different tastes. So that tells me that people here are not open-minded.

Actually SW20 MR2 turbos are about as fast stock for stock as a 951, and they have nearly as much potential with simple bolt ons (the 3S-GTE motor having 16 valves and DOHC helps it breathe better than the 8V SOHC 951 motor, despite the .5L displacement defecit), and when you get into building the motors (stroker kit with a 3 or 4 mm overbore in the toyota is the way to go...3.0L bored w/S2 crank is the way to go on the 951) the toyota probably has more potential (the factory supra race car for the japanese GT racing series is powered by a built 3S-GTE 4 banger if that tells you anything) as it is a more advanced engine.

I have driven a couple of MR2's, turbo and not turbo, but I got kind of nervous pushing them as I wasn't used to the way the weight transfered in them as I had always driven F/R layout cars before. I am sure you could build an MR2's suspension up to hang with a 951 with a built suspension as well.

The toyota will not be much cheaper to maintain than the porsche, and they have some things (like the "hose from hell" coolant line) that make working on them as challanging if not more so than a porsche. The toyota will require some maintainence less often, like timing belt changes, and a broken timing belt doesn't spell big $$$$ replacing bent valves since the engine isn't an interference design. The toyota will probably never leave you stranded while the porsche may (mine has only left me stranded once). The 951 has a better aftermarket than the toyota for most things.

These are just my opinions, but owning a toyota (celica all-trac...has the same exact motor as the MR2 turbo) and a porsche I understand that both have their advantages and disadvantages. I personally am a big fan of MR2 turbos and was going to buy one but I found this extremely rare celica when I was waiting for the right MR2 to go on sale...retrospectively I wish I bought the MR2, but nothing impresses me more in the snow than my celica. Sorry for rambling...time for bed.

Ok you pimple face dork.

That is five times now you have called "us" ignorant. You and all of your 18 years of experience.

You asked us a question and for help and we gave it to you. No need for your snotty *** little comments.

I’m hoping you take the money you have from your retail job at the mall and go buy an MR2, so we don’t have to deal with your childish insults on this board anymore.

DoN JuAn

Your 18 and that fact alone make you ignorant. I have twice the practical day to day experience with life than you. so yes you are a stupid little kid.

Your such an idiot you can't tell the difference between ignorance and opinion.

You need to go back to high school...or maybe your still there.

Do you even know what happend to the real Don Juan? or does your ignorant brain think he is just some great lover?

If I wanted **** from you I'd pick it out of your teeth *******, next time you learn the meaning of a new word like 'ignorant' don't use it so gratuitously or you might hurt yourself. Retard.

DoN listen up: Just because you started this post doesn't make you the God of this thread. Other people have the right to post their opinions about how they think the car looks just as much as you do. When someone states they think something is rice its not meant to be a personal attack on you, just advice. The fact that you took it that way and reacted so defensively belies your sensitivity which is a sure sign of immaturity. I see this type of thing in my teenagers all the time. Most teenagers are so sensitive about not being taken seriously or sounding ignorant that they lash out at anything they think might be the least bit condecending. Mature people don't act that way.

I emplore you to post an apology. It will be difficult for you I know, but if you don't you will go down the road of amaf and be ridiculed mercilessly. You will have thrown away the best resource you could possibly have if you decide to buy one of these cars (unless you change your name and start acting differently). If you do (apologise), you will win back the respect your were given default before you threw it away, at least from a lot of us. I don't think you have the maturity to do so.

Which door will you choose? I'm pretty sure I already know, but I'd like to be suprised.
