the plastic ones aren't bad, they fit the late cars better than the early car just due to shape. the carpet is cheap and tacky IMO, the plastic ones you can't really tell they're there.

I had a dash cover on my car when I bought it. I took the cover off thinking that the dash couldn't be that bad I was wrong it was so cracked and had silicone all over it...so I ordered one from 944 online. It looked pretty good but couldn't stand it. I found a nice original dash with one tiny crack by one of the vents. Wasn't too bad to replace. Took about 6 hours. I still have the cover I bought if anyone is interested.

My insurance co is replacing a cracked windshield so I thought it'd be a convenient time to do something about my cracked dash also. How much of a pain is it to R&R the dash in a later 944? Those of you with good results from recovering the dash what kind of material did you use and how did you bond it? Thanks Mike

I am curently recovering my dash with a marine grade vinyl that I got from a fabric place, I took the old cracked vinyl off and am sanding the dash smooth, and will fill the cracks, (still doing research of filling) but I will try to post something when its all done!
