14 inch wheels for a 1988 924s
#2
No 914 wheels will fit, they are 4 bolt and the 924s is a 5 bolt car. I'm not sure if there are 5 bolt 14's from the first 924 series, but they would be 23mm offset vs the 52mm your car currently uses so i'm really not sure how well they would fit.

I have a practically brandnew set of 14" yoko v710's that I used for a couple of autox's on my 83 gti. I am now selling the gti, so I would like to use these tires for my newly aquired 88 924

Don't know I'm not a wheels expert but been around 924-944 for a long time never seen any 14" on any of them.Usualy guys will go up a notch or two but not down,I beleive you'r gone a have a hard time finding 14" that will fit.Plus I was just wandering what a 14" wheels will do to a 924s as far as handling & ride is concern I don't thimk it's a good idea.

14 inch tires are actually hard to come by these days.....
People desire them, so... SELL THEM ON EBAY and consider yourself lucky.
you will have a much easier time and less expensive enterprise selling the tires.
then, go out and find some nice 17 or 18 inch wheels for your car.
8.0 to 8.5 inches wide in the front and 9.0 to 10.0 inches in the back.
stagger your tires closely in width to combat the natural understeer built into the car...
example; 225 mm wide in front, 285 mm in the back is TOO MUCH STAGGER.
235-255 mm wide in front... 265-285 mm wide in the rear IS GOOD !!
you will be addicted to your car by the increased performance...
Isn't this one of the reasons why you own this 924S with the full power 944 n/a motor ??
performance !
keep those old, puddly, stock wheels for snow tires or the recycling bin...
Great luck with your 924S.

the '87 and '88 924 S were very good cars... with the '88 getting the full power n/a engine...
this is a car worthy of upgrades, not subtracting with retro-equipment.

Odurandina don't you think your going a little bite overboard with the wheels & tires size your sugesting to leo, remember this is no 944 turbo-s2 or 968 he's driving around but a 924s.But like I mention previously I'm no wheels expert but just been around for a long time.Unless is got something like this sitting in is garage then maybe he could use your piece of advice.

There are no 5x130 14" wheels that I've ever seen. Only 14's that ever came on 924's were 4x108 and won't work with the 924S.
All 924's have early offset suspension with late offset wheels (since they aren't as wide as the 944)

I am thinking of painting my big blacks yellow, so...
the last thing Leo needs is our approval.
the '88 924 S goes like 147 mph--
the fastest one they did.
