neat craigslist find 944 with 968 motor in Omaha

1987 Guards Red Porsche 968 Engine - $5200 (Cresent)

'87 Guards Red Porsche 944S. Guards RED. Body has over 240,000 miles on it. Has sunroof and security alarm.
Engine is a 968 and has 180,000 miles on it. Runs and drives great! Certified Porsche mechanic did all repairs. Have all paperwork.
Engine runs great since '99 the car has been driven from Nebraska to Virginia, Minnesota and Texas yearly for golf tournaments.
The body needs work due to rocker panel rust, cracked windshield and dent in hood. I can email extra detailed photos if you'd like.
There are several minor issues like the A/C needs recharged, odometer is not working, gas light works but gage is off, the driver's power window doesn't work, the driver's seat is torn (see photos).
Super comfortable Porsche seats, Extra nice Alloy CUSTOM 17" low profile wheels with Porsche center caps, Tires 2 newer. CD player. Dash, interior panels and steering wheel are in good condition.
Drive it ANYWHERE. The stereo is a Blaupunkt brand and has a removable face place stereo with a built in CD player. The stereo wiring is loose so it needs fixing but works. The front two speakers are newer. Back two need replaced.
This is a fantastic gas mileage car that is incredibly fun to drive. A true sports car with excellent performance.
Restoration would honor this car's ability to stand up to any other 968 and save you tens of thousands! the rocker panel and front/rear Euro kit for this Porsche is right at $1,050. The car would look brand new!
When I had the 968 Engine put in the Porsche it cost me over $8,000 (I have the receipts).
Tranny, transaxle, and many other current updates were completed in the last few years.
This is truly a FANTASTIC deal for a Porsche lover. Don't let this one go! UNDER Average price for a Porsche with the 968 Engine.
