Anyone know how to pop off the brake calipers on a S2?
Just changing my front rotors and pads all around. Not quite sure how to get the calipers off. I am a first timer. Tried searching the forums, nothing really came up.
Thanks guys

Two 19mm bolts on the inner side of the caliper. If you take the pads out first the caliper will literally come right off. You will probably have to use a breaker bar to work them loose.

To clarify, if you take out the pads AND the 19mm bolts, teh caliper will come off. And of course find a way to support the caliper so it does not hang from the brake line. (That said, a brake line is one of the toughest hoses you'll ever see, and they take an enormous amount of abuse. I often wonder if that advice is a bit overkill -- especially on flimsy 944 calipers. As always, better safe than sorry.)

i think it's still valid. u wouldn't want to have the caliper swinging around. moreover, u wouldn't want to put it somewhere (like on top of the rotor) and have it drop, only to be restrained by the brake line.

I had a small box I propped it up on, thanks for the heads up. My only issue is getting the caliper back on the new rotor with the new pads. The room has seemed to gotten smaller. Checking that clarks garage as well.

My race car does not have brake sensors, so..............you clip the wire, peel back the cover exposing two wires, now strip them, now twist together. To make it nice you can put some heat shrink over the end...apply heat...you're done

You have to close the circuit. Leaving unplugged will make light stay on. What makes the brake light come on is when the sensor wears through it "opens" the circuit and turns on the light.
