There were four cars last night. I enjoyed the company, cars and beer. We need to do this again, and soon. Ideas anyone? Attached is my first attempt at posting a photo....an '87 924S, an '89 944 S2 and a '91 S2 and a '92 968; all the styles at one stop.

Looks like a fun turnout. Scott, who had the other white S2?

Since the majority of the posters in this thread seem to be closer to the Austin area, I think it makes more sense for you guys to arrange for the events. I couldn't make the meeting last week, but I look forward to making it out to the next possible event and meeting some of you guys.

The other S2 belongs to Mark, MK802...a very nice '91. I liked the hard wing on the rear (only year for these apparently).

I am out of the state for most of June and some of July. We could meet again, say August?. How about in San Marcos or New Braunfels? The Austin contingent could meet some where and cruise on down.

Scott, that sounds good. I'd be up for meeting somewhere in New Braunfels or San Marcos if anyone knows of a good place. We'll have to come up with something like that when you're back in August.

Would anyone be interested in meeting up for a possible cruise within the next couple of weeks? I should be free and available for whenever.

Any of you Austinites have anything in mind? I'd love to make something happen soon....

Default BUMP

Is anyone free in San Antonio this weekend? If so, then Coffee and Ride's would be a great event to meet up at this Saturday. The turnouts are always nice. Typically I have the only 924/944 out there, although sometimes there's a 968 or two.

Would anyone in the area be up for that? More info can be found here: http://coffeeandrides.com/

Default Getting together new plans....

Well everyone, it's August. I'd like to get a feeler for ideas for an event in the forthcoming month, or September. Any thoughts, you Austin guys? I'm thinking that maybe we could plan on having some sort of meeting and possible drive, somewhere in the hill country. Maybe somewhere in between Austin and San Antonio, or other. Any thoughts you Austin guys? I'm under the impression that if I tried to arrange something in San Antonio, that the turnout wouldn't be as fulfilling.

On a side note, Coffee and Rides was nice today. We had my '89 944S2, an '89 944 Turbo S and a 968, as well as a great selection of various other performance orientated cars.

Time to jump start this thread. Austin area drive this weekend, Sunday the 24th. Local informal 912-911 group...but really ANY special interest car is welcome...I'm driving my water pumper 944 to keep up with the 911s (most of 'em early models). Drive master is local early 911 mechanic par excellence Jamie Novak.

Sunday, October 24, 2010
8 am for coffee. Wheels rolling at 8:30.

The drive will be Sunday morning. This should maximize the number of people that can make it. The weather looks to be cloudy and cool. Minimal chance for rain.

There is a coffee shop on Lakeline one block N of 1421. We met there two years ago for the New Years run. This will be a good starting point to head W/NW.

New place to meet (other place is out of business!):

Lakeline & Cypress Creek Starbucks

1525 Cypress Creek Rd
Cedar Park, TX 78613
(512) 401-9985

And yes, there was a typo regarding the road. 1431, not 1421.
