If you go with 250lb front springs it sounds like your back end will not be stiff enough. You may want to consider 28mm torsion bars and install a rear sway bar.

I upgraded my t-bars to 25.5mm, changed the sway bar to 18mm, and with my 250lb springs with Koni sports up front the car badly understeers on the track.

So guess what I'll be shopping for at Hershey this year? :-)

Ok, what's the difference between a stock front strut and a coil over front strut?

And what is a coil over for the back?

I assume you take out the torsion bar if you put coilovers on the back?

I have control arms (one needs to be rebuilt), hubs and spindles, and tie rod ends, plus rear hubs and spindles as well as all studs still installed and the rotors from my 86 944 Turbo that would work on your car to start you on some upgrades if you're interested as I upgraded to later parts to use my late offset wheels. From what I understand the turbo parts are all stronger and then you could be closer to adding Turbo calipers to your car to increase the braking capability. Right now even with your car as it is, I don't think there is too much you have to do to add just about any of the other components like sway bars, torsion bars, etc. to your car to increase the handling as well. I'm sure others could enlighten you more based on what they've done...my 86 Turbo had been previously upgraded to the M030 springs, struts, torsion bars and sway bars and I have very little dive or roll in the car (at least to the level I've driven it now).

Cheers!
