Starved Rock drive (pics)
I'm back from taking care of my ill mother and it was such a beautiful day I had to go for a drive. I've been touting how great the drive is at Starved Rock, so I took a few pics. You guys in the Chicago area ought to come out one weekend!

Haven't been there for a few years now, before I could drive. If I ever trust my car again, I'll definately be making the trip this spring. There's a road just like that by my house, but it's only 1 or 2 miles long.
Know of any other roads around here? Or tracks for that matter?

Michelle, where exactly is this. I've heard of this but don't know where it is. I'm about 2 hours East of Chicago (unless I take the Porsche) :-)

It's in Utica, IL. Smack dab in the middle horizontal-wise. Here's a bad mapquest map:

I have driven that from Hitt St west Sooo many times.. Daily for 3 years.. Its actually where i realized my front sway bushing was loose!! Makes me almost MISS home...
And BTW- it is a county road, and in VERY good shape. Do the limit and enjoy the scenery.. (Lots of deer, and Old Fart drivers..) Some of the curves are marked at 15MPH and blind. really.

Check this out, talk about a curvy road. I took this picture when I was in Spain last summer. Too bad I wasn't in my 944....

Yeah, we should have an IL. meet somewhere. Starved Rock would be great.
Rt.66 has race classes that are only $100 for the weekend I belive. I'll have to check, I got a brochure at the car show.
I'm in Channahon if anyone wants to hook up.
