Euro 944NA bumpers
Can anyone tell me what front & rear Euro bumpers might sell for? I think they are a much better integrated look on NA cars. Did all cars on this side of the Atlantic get the US style bumper (Canada, Mexico, etc.)? How about shipping cost from Europe to US?

Konstantin had a rear euro bumper on the classifieds last week for $190, don't know if it is still available or not. According to the ad the bumper was in the US somewhere.
Someone last year on http://www.924board.org/ was importing the euro rear bumpers into the states. I was interested in buying one but I never got a definitive response on it from him. You might want to search the archives there. (the bumper is the same as 944's as you know)
I know that William (AKA "Firestarter" who bought the GRM 944 then sold it) had euro bumpers and no US-spec side marker lights, and his was originally a Canadian car. But it had a US-spec front spoiler. Confusing...

I paid $150 for a front bumper. I am using the original turn signals which bolt right in and some blanking plates for the foglight position. I still have a US valance.
The Euro bumper is plastic and very light. I made some simple aluminum mounts to replace the shocks.
I'm still looking for a rear bumper, didn't see the one for sale here, but $190 is kind of rich.

art: My Euro front bumper is not plastic. I have been interested in manufacturing a fiberglass piece since I bought the car though - where did you get yours?
Do you have some pics of the bumper?

A new rear Turbo/S2 bumper lists for around $325 for the bare bumper. The rubber molding is about the same price, and the mounting brackets another $130 or so. I bought mine brand new from Hendrick in Charlotte. It only took about two weeks to come from Germany and I got 25% off.

That freight is a bit rich, should be under $1 a kilo. Try a couple of people and see, even UPS or Danzas can handle it. It would also be much easier if an individual sent it to you versus a business, the old import duty and customs thing.

hello
I lost the email from the last tow weeks so i can not find the email of the guys who asked me for my rear bumber.
Tom still has it.
if someone wants i can find many bumbers and ship them all togehter to the USA.
I think about 10 bumbers would be ok. only one or tow bumbers would be to expensive as the shipping is to high.
I shiped teh alst one per UPS.

Art,
Don't give up! Currently only members can post the pics in messages (I think).
Would you send me the picture via email?

Thanks.
