Yes, it will have functional flip up lights, blinkers, heat, and a working blower like the original cars had. As a Rothmans car it has no undercoating or front fender liners and not much in the way of interior. Greg F
I expect the car to weigh in between 2400lb and 2450lb when it is complete. Greg F
Geez Greg! That thing will be the lightest car out there by far!
Can't you bolt in some hidden ballast or something? In all seriousness, it is a sweet car and I can't wait to see it out there on track where it belongs!

Nice work there and a great looking car for racing.
Any pics of the tow hook setup and how you mounted it?
And is that the stock front valence under the front bumper? Just curious about it and I'm staying tuned for this build.
If you could also figure in some parts you're adding to the build, that would be nice too. I'm curious to what you'll be doing with the suspension and braking.
I don't have any tow hook mounting pictures, but perhaps I can take some the next time I see the car. In front, the tow hook is mounted on the stock front bumper. Any yes, the valence is stock.
As I mentioned, we are trying to stay close to the way it originally was in its race period, but set it up for present-day 944 Cup series. I think this makes for an interesting balance i.e. originality versus competitiveness. Having said this, I would rather stay close to the car's originality (but not sacrifice safety).
If that tow hook is mounted to the bumper, it may just be four holes drilled in the bumper with bolts, washers, etc. Believe that's how schwank did his.

I think you need to get to Greg, Lyall, Scott, and Mark's cars and add weight to all of them, Eric. :P
Dave Derecola has a DVD of the Rothman's Challenge series and adventures of the three drivers that won a ride in a 956 at Le Mans. He sells them to help support the 944 Cup series.
Claudio did you buy the car from the St. Catherine's, Ontario area?

Yes, I did. Do you know the previous owner or the car?
