Somebody needs to do this with a 944. Parts are cheap enough.

I've "played" the PC based game GTR2 with a Logitech wheel and pedals, and it is extremely useful for learning a track's layout before you actually go there. The benefit of the PC game is that there is a geek community out there developing and converting tracks. I plan on driving at Mid-Ohio next year, and the simulator time will definitely shorten my learning curve.

But driving dynamics are really hard to get from any static simulator.

If you want the BEST experience, I hear that iRacing ( http://iracing.com ) is unbeatable. Head-to-head racing on very accurate track renditions.

I still play NFS Porsche on both ps1 and pc.

i play GT5P on my projector wall with my driving seat hehe.
